2014 NASA LARSS

Recruitment is ongoing for the NASA LARSS Program, a 10-week summer session with an extended  deadline of February 5, 2014.   The 10 week period is 6/2 – 8/08/2014 .  http://www.nianet.org/larss.  The LARSS program is a partnership between NASA, the National Institute of Aerospace (NIA), and the Virginia Space Grant Consortium as a sub-award to the NIA.

The Langley Aerospace Research Student Scholars (LARSS) Program is a paid, Center-unique, and highly competitive research internship program for undergraduate and graduate students pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM)  held onsite at NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, VA.  Special project areas such as business, education, photography, history, finance, accounting and other areas are also accepted for consideration.   

Eligibiity Requirements:

• US citizenship

• Full-time student status at an accredited US college or university

• 3.0/4.0 scale

• Rising college junior and above

 

Female students and under-represented minorities, college students with disabilities, military veterans, first-generation college students, and students from economically-disadvantaged backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Note:  There is a Bridge option through the rising college sophomore level if the student has at least a 3.5 GPA and previous NASA Program experience.

Internship Stipend for 10 weeks full-time participants:

• $6000 Stipend for graduate students

• $5000 Stipend for rising college juniors and seniors

• $4000 Stipend for Rising freshmen and sophomores
